While iPhones are loaded with advanced features and
functions, there is a fateful susceptibility for iPhone battery drain that
usually comes hand in hand with newly launched updates. Even though typically
the battery of an average iPhone lasts around 10-12 hours, some users may
notice a significant drain on their iPhone’s battery life. If you are wondering
why your battery is dying so quickly, then do not worry. We did some research
and weeded out a bunch of ways to solve the battery issue. Let’s get started.
Getting started
Before you start fixing the battery drain problem, you need
to make sure that the battery causes the problem.
Test the iPhone’s battery
Before proceeding, you should test the battery by seeing its
usage time and standby time. When you perform this test, you will find out
whether your iPhone has a battery drainage problem or not. The Usage time
refers to the amount of time the device has been used since it was fully
charged. Standby time refers to the total time the phone was turned on since it
was fully loaded. Here’s how you can conduct the test:
- Go to the Settings app.
- Locate Battery and tap on it,
- Now, in the following screen, locate Usage and Standby features option.
- Note both of them somewhere (Preferably in hard copy format).
- Power off your device by pressing and holding the power button for around half a minute. After that slide to power off.
- After waiting for a couple of minutes, long press the power button again and turn on your iPhone.
- Open the Settings and en tap on Battery.
- Now, note down the Usage and Standby time.
